Rowan Digital Infrastructure is proud to be leading the Frederick County region into a new era of digital infrastructure development defined by high standards of sustainability, collaboration, and community benefits.
We are thrilled to be breaking ground on our first project in Maryland, the Frederick Data Center, this spring. We are grateful to the many local leaders, economic development professionals, community advocates, and others that have engaged with us to make this project a reality.
TRIPLING OUR INVESTMENT IN FREDERICK COUNTY
Building on the success and momentum of our inaugural project, we're delighted to unveil our second and third project sites in Frederick County. With three active projects in the region, it is estimated that Rowan will generate over $2.2 billion in statewide economic activity during construction and create over $346 million in statewide economic activity annually during operations.
These projects are expected to bring $19 million in annual tax revenue for the county and about $57 million in annual tax revenue to the state of Maryland during construction.
With sustainability at the forefront, these projects will continue to uphold our commitment to eco-friendly practices, community engagement, and economic prosperity. Click the button for more information:
OUR FREDERICK FOOTPRINT
Rowan’s three projects in Frederick County are all located on the Quantum Loophole campus. The Quantum Loophole campus itself is about 2,100 acres of land that was formerly a smelting facility. Digital infrastructure development in this area is a far less intensive and cleaner use of the land, with fewer impacts to neighboring properties and broader benefits for the community.
