SETTING HIGH STANDARDS FOR DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

SUSTAINABILITY

At Rowan, we've consistently demonstrated our dedication to pioneering innovative and sustainable building practices. We're committed to collaborating with end users who share our vision of maximizing energy procurement from renewable sources. Together, we're driving towards a more sustainable future.

COLLABORATION

We've intentionally fostered collaborative and productive relationships within the Frederick County community, and plan to be expanding partnerships with local leaders in the months and years ahead. Together, we're poised to enhance growth and prosperity in our shared community.

COMMUNITY BENEFITS

With three active projects in the region, it is estimated that Rowan will generate over $2.2 billion in statewide economic activity during construction and create over $346 million in statewide economic activity annually during operations.

  • Rowan has strong controls in place to ensure accountability to sustainability commitments, including having an environmental compliance specialist on-site throughout construction of projects.

  • Rowan’s first project in the county will support its operations from 100% clean renewable sources; we will advocate for the same commitment for all other projects.

  • Rowan is partnering with community leaders to find opportunities for other additional renewable energy investments.

  • Our company has a track record of transparency in Frederick County that we will continue to build on with these new projects.

  • Our ongoing educational efforts are designed to specifically speak to issues that have been raised during our comprehensive public outreach, which will continue well beyond public hearings.

  • Rowan has taken concrete steps to address community questions during our first project that will inform our approach to future projects in Frederick County.

  • Rowan’s three projects earned broad community support largely because of the enormous potential the industry represents for the region.

  • These projects are expected to bring $19 million in annual tax revenue for the county and about $57 million in annual tax revenue to the state of Maryland during construction.

  • Rowan has built strong relationships with county officials, public school leaders, and others to ensure that the benefits from these projects are broadly shared.
